About Ryebellion
We are the drumming arm of the Rye & District Bonfire Society (RDBS) established in 2017.
Ryebellion began with a handful of enthusiastic RDBS members and has today grown to over 70 drummers.
We practice every Monday evening throughout the year at Rye Community Centre, Conduit Hill, Rye TN31 7LE between 7:30pm and 9pm. We have a stock of drums that new joiners may use when giving it a try for the first time. We don't practice on bank holidays.
Members pay a weekly subscription fee of £2 to help meet the cost of hiring the community centre, the first week is on us.

Since inception, Ryebellion have been led by RDBS member Robert Draper, a classically trained composer and musician who studied music at The University of London Goldsmiths’ College.
In addition to Robert there is also a leading group of senior members who meet on a quarterly basis to oversee the administration, finance and promotional aspects of running the group.
